Please be advised that while the Miami / Miami Beach Commuter service was paused due to the pandemic, a Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resource Management permitting issue was discovered. This must be resolved before the commuter service can resume.
Both Miami-Dade County and The City of Miami are incredibly supportive of the service and are working diligently, along with the Poseidon Ferry team, to resolve the issue and expedite the permitting process. However, this process may still take a few more weeks to complete. Therefore, we will not be able to resume service on Monday, June 7th as scheduled.
We understand that this is disappointing news and do apologize that the date keeps getting pushed back. Instead of changing the start date yet again, and disappointing you further, we are asking you to instead stay tuned on social media and to sign up for the Poseidon’s Post Newsletter, which will notify you directly once the new start date has been determined and confirmed.
Poseidon Ferry is fully committed to getting the service back up and running and dedicated to our mission of bringing safe, reliable, and affordable waterborne transportation service to Miami-Dade County.
We appreciate your patience & understanding and look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks!
